The New Paper (Singapore)Jocelyn LeeIt starts off with a lot of potential, as director Dante Lam pumps up the adrenaline with fast-paced action through winding and dangerous routes all over the world, keeping audiences at the edge of their seats.
South China Morning PostEdmund LeeA hot-blooded movie with a sophisticated view of the high-pressure pursuits of pro riders.
The Straits Times (Singapore)Yip Wai YeeIt is all geeky, technical stuff, but Lam manages to keep the races exciting enough by changing things up often, putting the cyclists through various terrains and weather conditions
User ReviewHou LThe best thing in this movie is that the biggest rival is not evil. BTW, beautiful Taiwan, and beautiful Kaohsiung!!
User ReviewJessica L"To the Fore" has beautiful scenery and a roster of popular actors. It has heartwarming friendships, overcoming personal barriers, the grit and intensity of any sports competition, and the humor of romantic comedies. However, it does none of these particularly well. In the end it tries to be too many things, making it a long, rather simple feel-good movie.
User ReviewKean C KC+(78%) movie. DVD. ?????????????????????????????????????????
User ReviewMing Siu GIt's nothing but a teen idol drama with bicycles, with the typical shallow characters and shallower relationships. Everything about it, apart from the cycling, feels lazy and perfunctory, from the cliché-ridden script to the numerous low-grade drone shots. Even the action gets dull and repetitive after a while. A huge disappointment, and probably Dante Lam's worst movie in almost a decade.
