San Francisco ChronicleDavid WiegandFor much of the way, These Foolish Things not only drips with catty dialogue, it fairly overflows, so much so that you half wonder if it's meant to be a satire. Alas, no.
User ReviewKatie BOnce again Zoe Tapper is wonderful in this film as the girl trying to become an actress. I couldn't stop watching it, I was so tied up in her character. Angelica Huston was great in it and Terrence Stamp was so funny. he had some of the best lines in the film! Both lead actors that are trying to win over zoe take your breath away, and you really route for both of them. You truely are left confused as to who she should end up with till the end. This is also a new twist on most Pre World War II films, as it involves more of the theater with the back drop of the war building up. I loved it!
User ReviewFawaz AI enjoyed watching the film, and some moments in it were touching. But overall, there were more problems than virtues. Great casting. Not very good storytelling.
User ReviewCarlos MDefinately not the best movie ever made. I saw it on the shelves, and was like, "ooh, 30's!", so I rented it. Waste of time. When the best actor in a movie is the butler, something is dreadfully wrong. I also couldn't get over the fact that one of the main characters (Robin) looked so much like Michael Jackson. Adorable story, but wayyyyyy over done.
