User Review - 6/10 by Panayiotis PI feel blessed for discovering this movie and also having watched it. Amazing choreographies, wild fight scenes and perfect photography throughout the movie. A karate film as exotic and entertaining as they get. It was a great experience having watched this movie and i recommend it to all fans of the specific genre. I was very impressed by the individual fight scenes performed by the protagonist. The storyline is nothing special but the movie was a masterpiece.
User Review - 6/10 by Jason KA young martial arts warrior is tasked by his master to stop the rebirth of an evil Japanese cult that kidnaps children and breeds them into killing machines. Newcomer Xing Yu does well here. He's had small roles in some Donnie Yen movies and played Coolie in Kung Fu Hustle. In this, he is K-23, martial arts badass. He must rescue the children, protect the children, yet the children are barely in the movie. Despite this, the two main martial arts sequences are badass. K-23 must duel Crazy Monkey, a twisted jittery fighter who likes to hide in the dark. And in the finale, he must take on a former childhood friend has given himself the title of King of Vajra. Can K-23 utlize the 17 Deadly Moves by having emotional awareness? Will he save the children? The movie is bogged down by some bad acting from the America troop actors, who don't even have names. There is also a subplot with a journalist at a moral crossroads. Also bogging down the main plot is how the characters talk about the plot a lot, instead of having the story tell itself. The Wrath of Vajra has a solid story and good production values, and its decent martial arts sequences are what we come to see. Everything else is mediocre, but that's okay.
User Review - 6/10 by Jeffrey AThe Wrath of Vajra is actually a pretty decent martial arts film. The fight sequences are really good, the look and feel of the film is top quality, it's not too schlocky, and I always like a good Bloodsport like film. Unfortunately, there are way too many characters making the story a bit too convoluted. You can still figure things out but there was clearly one too many aspects added into the backstory to make this film flow naturally. I'd recommend giving this one a go. Not every day you get so many languages used in a film of this nature and I'm not sure it helps the film but it doesn't take away from it either. The film has a historical background but I have no idea if any of it is based on a true story. Of course... it doesn't really matter as long as someone gets beaten up real good :)
