User Review - 6/10 by Yash KIt was a nice movie. It had less of action and more of emotions. Initially, it was kind of boring but later on Ving Rhames took it to another level. As the movie approached the end it started to get predictable but the twist right before the end turned the whole movie around. Its like you're thinking - "Yeah, i know its going to end this way and the same moment - Oh shit!". It was a nice concept and the post story ended it at a positive note which i liked a lot.
User Review - 6/10 by Cem "Regi" "Pixelmannen" .Sad and a really good story, totally worth seeing
User Review - 4/10 by Brett R"The wrath of Cain" was a watchable movie which told a familiar tale of the recently incarcerated requiring the need of the "King" of the cell-house. Ving Rhames cuts a convincing figure as "Cain" who is saddened to learn his estranged son is joining him for a 8 year term. This is one of those movies that you can guess what happens before it does and the ultimate "twist" doesn't come as a big surprise. it also features a mandatory appearance from Robert Lasardo (Death race, Nip / Tuck) as a criminal. It just goes to show that havign a body covered in tattoos could actually help you get work. And yes, there's the obligatory references and scenes dealing with convicts having forced introductions... All in all a run-of-the mill prison yarn but the moral thread is all too obvious. The final scene also seems incredibly unrealistic but I guess that's Hollywood for you!
User Review - 4/10 by Knut FWould have been made for TV if it wasnt for the language used...
User Review - 4/10 by Trish STypical prison movie full of anti-social activity and attempts at redemption. Decent plot and acting but not my kind of movie.
User Review - 4/10 by Borhan KA movie about an old time gangster that is in jail and over some unfortunate events his son ends up there and he tries to mend bridges in the process he finds out he has another son. But the main part of this msg in the story is that the cycle of crime violence is a never ending process unless one person is willing to stop and change their ways.
User Review - 4/10 by Steve S** (out of four) The presence of Ving Rhames helps this routine prison picture, but he only takes it so far. The predictable script hampers it. Rhames plays Cain, a crime lord who is locked up. Inside he becomes a prison hero, almost like a godfather. But his parental instincts kick in when his son is arrested and sent to the same prison where he is incarcerated. Aside from Rhames, there is nothing special here. Just a bunch of thugs trying to get one over on the other.
