User Review - 4/10 by Allan CDull prohibition era story is kind of broken up into two parts; the first about an alcoholic souther gentleman, Walter Huston, and the second half about prohibition agents in the north. The first half seems to be anti-alcohol and the second half seems to be anti-prohibition. I supposed Steven Soderbergh's "Traffic" did kind of the same thing, but this film is no "Traffic" (though I wonder if maybe for it's time it was hard hitting and ripped from the headlines). Myrna Loy was the only reason I checked this film out and that wasn't really enough to cary the film since she wasn't in it all that much. Robert Young, Jimmy Durante, and Wallace Ford also appear in the film.
