Here, however, the blatant reference to the a-bomb makes this a post-war film for me and shows how he can move beyond the optimism and commentary on how knee-deep we are in institutional corruption. The political naivete is still there, but it's the type of naivete that allows for other types of naivete to flourish, like the one that this review is awash in. |
