Los Angeles TimesMark OlsenThe Story of Luke is not a saga of epic proportions, but with a huge assist from Pucci's layered performance, takes a premise that could easily be movie-of-the-week sappy and finds a humanizing lightness.
The New York TimesDaniel M. GoldWhen it works, the film serves as a modest reminder that the challenges of autism may sometimes be no more daunting or fearsome than those that face anyone in search of an independent life.
Village VoiceChuck WilsonThe Story of Luke is a charming little film in need of a bit more grit.
Austin American-StatesmanMatthew OdamThe outsized nature of their insensitivities is meant to reinforce the pain and humiliation from Luke's perspective, but it makes for a movie with an uneven tone.
The Hollywood ReporterJohn DeForeThe Story of Luke suffers all the flaws associated with disability films and more. Familiar faces in the cast may attract notice in niche bookings, but no one involved will benefit from the exposure.

User ReviewDebbie Dlove this movie, Funny and worth watching. Lou Taylor Pucci is an amazing actor and was the perfect choice for the role. Seth Green character was useless and annoying.
User ReviewCameron FI loved this movie so much. Lou Taylor Pucci puts on a performance of a lifetime. Along with strong performances by Cary Elwes and Seth Green. This highly inspirational and tear jerker will throw you in a whirlwind of smiles and tears. Rejoice, Luke sees the world so few can.
User ReviewLisa MThis is a great movie about an autistic young man named Luke; who wants more out of life. He is surrounded by his extended family who he has just started living with after a death in the family. In his journey he meets, Zack a character played by Seth Green, who does a great job. Most of the lovely dark comedy comes from him. This movie has touching, awkward, and heart breaking moments. This is the best movie I have seen since 50/50.
User ReviewJulie MHonestly one of the best films I've ever seen. I was blown away.
