Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzThe Great Garbo, the Swedish star, in her penultimate silent.
User ReviewKatie ROne of my favorite Garbo movies. Her performance is great. There's some wonderful character development.
User ReviewGregory Wpre-code Garbo vamps and sizzles in this one.
User ReviewJoel ATo my knowledge this was the last Silent Film Garbo made with MGM since the executives where concerned her thick Swedish Accent wouldn't gel well with audiences. This is quite a daring story of a woman sick & tired of Men's Hypocrisy & decides I'm going to play the field regardless of the consequences. An interesting social comment on male & female behavior of the day & Garbo was so radiant on screen. Somewhat of a tragic film at heart but features some gorgeous photography especially when Garbo goes to sea.
User ReviewIan FThe fact that I A) couldn't remember the title and then B) couldn't remember what happened says something about this movie. As a result, I can't critic it that much as I don't remember much. The ending was good - it ended the way it should have. If it had ended any other way, I would have been pissed! This is also my first Greta Garbo film and I was impressed. She's good. And pretty!
User Reviewjay nThe story is hokey and dated but Garbo is amazing contemporary.
User ReviewGreg WNot even Garbo can save this. Bailed after about 10 minutes.
