Sunday Independent (Ireland)Hilary A WhiteWhat begins as just a sumptuous piece of local filmmaking starts to ring with a universal candour.
RTÉ (Ireland)Paddy KehoeThe Silver Branch is an absorbing, brilliant film that should be honoured everywhere prizes are given, for delving delicately and drinking deep at the well of one man's story, one family's joy and heartbreak.
User ReviewMichele BOne of the most beautiful and moving documentaries I have seen. Truly a moving experience and you care deeply about the main characters and their fight to conserve their land and a way of life. Got one of the loudest standing ovations I have ever seen at a documentary film screening.
User ReviewJohn CNo greater example of sovereignty of Heart have I seen in a long, long time, both in those who were filmed, and those who filmed. If you get a chance to see this on the big screen, do it. Your Heart will soar and your eyes will weep tears of grief and joy at the depths, and heights, this film takes you to. Take a bow Katrina Costello. This Earth is blessed by your presence. I'd love to see an extended cut/special edition released. This world is in dire need of more profundity.
