Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzNothing special, but the minor detective yarn is satisfactory in its workmanlike way of handling things.
User ReviewWilliam Mnot a bad 'spy' thriller for it's time. The role George Sanders was born for!
User ReviewStuart KAbove average saint thriller. The saint helps a pretty young lady prove her innocence of shooting a man at a new years eve party!
User ReviewPaul DThe sardonic, sophisticated George Sanders replaces Louis Hayward in the title role and would continue with the franchise until Hayward returned to wrap up the Hollywood series. The plot is nearly unfathomable, burdened by too many criminal characters and subplots. But the film gets by on Sanders' charm and wit. Keep an eye out for Neil Hamilton as you may recognize him as police chief Gordon from the campy 1960s "Batman" series. Barry Fitzgerald, one of the most beloved character actors of Hollywood's golden age, shows up as a burglar who is turned by Sanders.
