Film ThreatRory L. AronskyIt's a war of minds and wills, but where it stands is at a point where Michael Curtiz still could direct ably, but the material wouldn't give way toward something better.
Not Coming to a Theater Near YouMatt BaileyThis strange film--a romantic fable, wholly fictitious yet rooted in historically accurate minutiae--is a pleasure

User ReviewJennalynn *No one else has ever had the strength of person to portray Elizabeth but Bette Davis and who better to be her loving adversary than Errol Flynn. MAGIC!
User ReviewMarilee AIf You loved Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth, you must compare to the Original with Betty Davis who many believe the Best Actor of All Times. This is so well Done.
User ReviewMegan .I surprisingly enjoyed this film! I am not usually able to get into "period" films and I never quite enjoyed Errol Flynn before but I have to say that this performance changed my mind. And then there is Bette Davis, well- she was stunning as she is most always is. Loved the performances- very dramatic; the costumes were great. Very good film.
User ReviewJanice OBette and Errol at their best, they don't make them like this anymore.
User ReviewPrivate UThis was a good movie. Bette Davis was fabulous. The best part was the sad tableau of Elizabeth upon her throne, completely alone, in this cavernous room. It was such a sad and striking visual representation of the isolation that came with keeping the throne. It was a tortuous love story where you just couldn't help but hope that they get a happily-ever-after, despite the history books.
User ReviewCharlotte LThe intimacy between the aging Bette Davis and the dashing, young Flynn is excellent!
User ReviewAgent owant to see it, iam sure it is going to be sweet
