Movie Reviews

Movie Dearest - 9/10 by Fr. Chris CarpenterAn insightful but one-sided and somewhat overwrought indictment of the growing practice of cat-declawing.
Los Angeles Times - 8/10 by Inkoo KangThe Paw Project is robustly persuasive, with Conrad compellingly framing her crusade as a battle between a right-thinking vet and a deep-pocketed industry group that purportedly represents her.
The Film Stage - 7/10 by John FinkTaking the health and well being issue seriously the film is an effective grass roots tool.
The New York Times - 7/10 by Neil GenzlingerA heartfelt documentary about a subject that inflames cat lovers everywhere: declawing.
Village Voice - 7/10 by Daphne HowlandThe story of veterinarian Jennifer Conrad's crusade to outlaw declawing of cats is eye-opening and sometimes charming.
User Review - 10/10 by Jim JExcellent film about an inhumane procedure. Very persuasive and uplifting. The graphic material is kept to a minimum while delivering tension and a happy ending.
User Review - 10/10 by Crystal RAnimal people OF ALL KINDS should watch this documentary....holy crap! So much information about the cruelty of declawing....unreal that this is legal in this country with so many people working against cruelty to animals. Even if you don't have a cat or plan to get one....you should be a voice for them to all those uninformed or just plain LAZY ASS people who would do this to an animal that they supposedly LOVE! It's insane! I'm hoping that maybe they just don't know. :( This is also about the unfortunate big cats who are in captivity.
User Review - 10/10 by Wabibi BEvery feline owner who has/had considered declawing his cat must watch this. Every animal lover would feel the impact.
User Review - 10/10 by Kim MIt's amazing that the folks at The Paw Project (after which the film is named) managed to make a thoroughly entertaining and engaging film about animal cruelty. They did it by focusing largely on the battle to outlaw the hideous practice and on the successes so far. This is a wonderfully informative and uplifting movie.
User Review - 10/10 by April TVet Dr. Jennifer Conrad brings this informative documentary about cat declawing to light. It is a must see to help spread the word and BAN this horrible process many pet owners put their cats through. Declawing causes pain, arthritis, trouble walking, infection, stress, depression (just to name a few) to our feline friends. it is not a safe procedure and is basically an amputation of a cats paw. Imagine if someone cut off your toes off...that's what it's equivalent to. Please watch and help inform others on stopping this procedure everywhere. If you don't want a pet to ruin your furniture, then don't get something with claws, period.
