In the village, no one turns up with the password. Bay Petar has to leave the village and set out on the road again. Persefona meets him. She has to put him in touch with the partisan unit. Before long, they are both arrested for black-marketing. Fortunately, the old acquaintance of Bay Petar - Stoyan has to escort them to the regional police headquarters. Bay Petar and Persefona see themselves compelled to disarm him and to tie him. They all go in the woods but cannot find the meetings place. Bay Petar orders the policeman to dig a large pit. Stoyan begs for his life. The partisan helper explains that he only wants to put the munitions out of harm's way. At this point, the partisans arrive.
