User ReviewNick Sshows the horrors of pow camps but also a very amusing film.
User ReviewHolly CThis is one of my favorite World War II movies. Upbeat and hilarious.
User ReviewBrok SI thought this movie was very well paced. Just when I thought I might get bored, something un-expected would happen. It kept me entertained. I recommend this to anyone who appreciates silver screen movies; and a good laugh.
User ReviewPrivate UAlmost forgotten but absolutely brilliant
User ReviewPaul DBased on real events this slightly lightharted tale of a British POW and his many intrepid exploits. less coherant and sombre than The Great Escape, it is nevertheless as British war movie classic.
User ReviewMark FOnly saw the last half hour but seemed like a likeable WWII movie based on a true story. Worth a watch.
User ReviewGreg Wworth seeing again at least there is a story
User ReviewLynne NThis film is an interesting watch purely for the fact the events depicted, which seem far-fetched, are based on the true story of a British Officer. It did make me want to go out and read more. However, the film moves very quickly from one piece of action to the next and seems to trivialise the live of PoWs during World War 2 - making the Germans look like incompetent buffoons and the hard labour camps seem like Butlins.
