Leave your thoughts about The Pact II.
Assignment XAbbie BernsteinThe Pact II works well enough - it had mood, scares, blood and better than average casting in a couple of lead roles, which makes it sufficient for viewers in search of a decent horror movie.
Sight and SoundAnton Bitelrather like a modern giallo with its twisty whodunnit plotting and irrational elements, but likely to prove incomprehensible, at least through its first third, to anyone who's not seen Nicholas McCarthy's original and better The Pact (20121).
Village VoiceAlan ScherstuhlFor all their skill with shambling corpses sneaking up behind beautiful women, the filmmakers can't figure out where to put the camera in those moments when characters are simply talking to each other.
Reel Film ReviewsDavid NusairAn entirely underwhelming horror sequel...
The DissolveCharles BramescoThere's a worthy sequel to a better-than-average horror film in here somewhere, but it's buried underneath a wild goose chase that ultimately goes nowhere.
User ReviewChok SA less terrifying sequel to the sleeper hit horror film, The Pact. The Pact 2 fails mainly in its story that may keep you engaging, but is poorly connected and concluded together in the end. The climax is unsatisfying and is not even scary or memorable here comparing to the first film. The SCARES here might not be as genuinely creepy as the first but it does have some effective ones as well as cheap ones to have you jump from time to time. There are also some bloody kills but nothing GORY or anything. Overall, this film series has potential to be the next horror hit series like Insidious films due to its engaging story and creepy scares but for now, this sequel will be remembered as the most disappointing one, yet [C+]
User ReviewAl MThis sequel becomes more of serial killer thriller than a supernatural horror film, yet The Pact II manages to be an entertaining yet thoroughly predictable horror film nonetheless....
User ReviewHugo GI don't remember the first Pact that much to compare both of them, but I think that the first one was a little more superior, but not by too much. Therefore, this wasn't a very good movie because most of the story didn't make sense and also I didn't remember half of what happened on the first one. The acting was not that great and the whole story wasn't as strong as the first one, and I do have to say that the first one was more original and probably was better to left alone. In the end it left me more perplexed and confused because I still cannot get my head around all it's mythology and how everything is able to happen. ~September 20, 2014~
User ReviewSt. AThe feeling I got while watching this mess of a film, was that the story must come from an original script that was rewritten so it could be passed off as a sequel to The Pact. Given the confusing logic and rules, along with returning characters shoehorned into this movie, it makes me believe this theory.
User ReviewCody LNot sure what this was? A horror? A murder mystery? Whatever it was, it was only watchable because I was so tired.
