Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzIt plays like a serial chapter adventure shown during matinees in the 1940s.
Antagony & EcstasyTim BraytonCharming and easygoing enough in its matinee-movie way, though there are enough unforced errors throughout that it's really hard to think of this as one of Universal's most shining moments.
User ReviewTristan DOne of the great Mummy movies. Great atmosphere and make up. Who cares about the acting or the direction. It was aimed at collage and teenage kids seeking a thrill back in the early forties. It has since become a favourite amoung fans of nostalgic horror movies. Probably the best out of the fourmummy sequels Universal brought out during the 1940s.
User ReviewDean HLovely blend of horror & comedy. Creepy atmosphere and Wallace Ford's comic relief is great.
User ReviewMartin AWonderful vintage film that's over 78 years old! George Zucco is just wonderful as the Evil bad guy. It' has a great cast, and is just a delight to watch
User ReviewJeremy SA great movie and great sequel which is hard to find in todays movies
User ReviewJose MMummyâ(TM)s Hand is one of the four timeless sequels to have been released in the wake of the successful film, The Mummy. This film, however, is in another world as it is not a direct sequel to the predecessor. The film removes Immotep and replaces him with a priest who is buried alive for trying toy with life and death. A curse is placed on his sight with a few faithful defenders, but that soon changes when those pesky explorers arrive. The expedition is headed by two people and funded by a nearly broke magician and his daughter. They soon discover the tomb they entered is definitely cursed and to make matters worse, the mummy they found is alive. I was dreading a really limited potential film, but was pleasantly surprised by this sequel. The cast was excellent and lovable because you get to see these guys and know their persona. Mummyâ(TM)s Hand is definitely worth watching.

User ReviewD MMore mummy than the original, more laughs than the original (the humor isn't subtle at all) but the acting and atmosphere don't measure up enough to make this better than its predecessor. But oh well, sequels rarely do. This film on its own is fun. Infact, its so much fun that it feels as if it looses sight of being a horror movie at times.
User ReviewJohn SIncredibly fun follow up to The Mummy moves at a very brisk pace - at 67 minutes it doesn't have a minute to waste. The cast is extremely likeable, and nobody takes themselves too seriously (it's actually pretty funny). One of Universal's most enjoyable monster movies!
