european-films.netBoyd van HoeijA powerful story that mixes football and patriotic sentiments in a melodramatic look at immediate post-war Germany.
User ReviewRandi SAgain, a German movie. This one takes place in the 50s when Germany is licking its wounds. A young boy, who is an avid soccer fan, meets his father, who was released from a Russian prisoner camp, for the first time, and the two have to build their relationship while Germany is rebuilding itself. When Germany's soccer team then makes it to the European finals in Bern, Switzerland, the father takes his son there to bond. A wonderful tear jerker.
User ReviewAntonio MIf you're german and you like the Mannschaft you'll probably love this movie. For foreigners or people less interested in football it's a good story about social and family recover from the WWII

User ReviewDavid SAwesome! This movie is about Germany in 1954, when Hannover won the Bundesliga and Deutschland won the World Cup.
User ReviewChris Knice story and very realistic characters.A very good movie related to football.
User ReviewSamuel BThe best football film I've seen, even if they gloss over the bit where Werner Liebrich crocks Puskas. The ending's a bit silly too but, hey, that's sports movies.
