| User ReviewAllan CSo-so mystery had a capsule description that made me think this was going to be a much more action filled and noirish story. Michael Curtiz directed this tale of artist Alan Ladd is accused of murdering his boozy wife, Carolyn Jones, and then trying to clear his name. That sounded pretty good, but it ends up that Ladd spends a lot of tim hiding out in a cave with some children who help him clear his good name. It's not a bad film, but I think it could have been a lot better. I was picturing something more like "The Fugitive." Charles McGraw also appears in the film. |
