Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzIncredibly stiff adaptation of a Sir Arthur Conan Doyle sci-fi story.
User ReviewKen DTo watch this movie, you really do have to suspend some disbelief. A pretty fun adventure type movie with some interesting characters.
User ReviewElizabeth NGiant lizards posing as dinosaurs, cannibalistic natives and treacherous Spaniards? And Claude Raines?! Fun afternoon viewing!
User ReviewTim SThis is the one with Claude Rains as the scientist, and two gorgeous women in the divine shapes of Jill St John and Vitina Marcus. The dinos, alas, are enlarged reptiles with added plasticine, not stop-motion. All-in-all, never a great movie, but quite watchable.
User ReviewPrivate UI loved it as a child but on re-watching it i find myself disappointed. I give it an extra star for prosperity
User ReviewGreg Wdirected by diaster aueter irwin allen and remake of 1925 silent version
User ReviewAllan CJill St. John and Claude Rains are on an expedition into the title lost world to find dinosaurs, which happen to be played by lizards with horns and spikes attached and being placed on miniature sets. Reasonably fun on an adolescent boy sort of level.
User ReviewAdam CI think I enjoyed this film mostly for the reason that Claude Rains's character looked a lot like a college l;ecturer of mine. Apart from that, it's pretty standard adventuring, and sometimes slightly sub-standard. The lizrad wrasslin' was interesting as a relic of archaic special effects, and although shite, I much prefer these FX to CGI.
User ReviewMikhel ATalk about a film that didn't age well. Every time I saw a "dinosaur" I either lol'd or smh.
User ReviewRoland SThe best movie featuring magnified lizards with bonnets. Claude Rains is most welcome as Professor Challenger.
