Monza, 25 March 2017, a million people await the Pope's arrival, and become a film. A film that comes from the chronicle of a great event, from the expectation of a moment of great intensity and involvement. An entomological and observational work, focused on the faithful, who flocked to see and hear the Pope: a million people slowly arriving at the park, some alone, some in large groups. Picnics, games to pass the time, songs and prayers of children and adults. At times the swelling crowd seems to enter a playground, or the arena of a concert: the voices of the animators and the rock songs flood the human tide lurking, while the waving scarves refer to great sporting events. In this confusion are human beings, of all ages and spirits. Some in an attitude of respect, of prayer. Others simply waiting for something, including photos and selfies to remember, to share. Everything is drowned in the incessant music, which seems to cover every thought. The result is a film about today's religion, which never contemplates silence.
