A victim of circumstances, but still a survivor. All she wants is to get back to her former life in Australia, a life that was stolen away from her. Because of Jess' honesty, he was given a reward when he returned a guest's bag full of money; a three night stay at the Manila Hotel, a shopping spree, 300,000 pesos in cash, among others. Living like a king for three days, Jess never knew that the event would forever change his life. On the first night, he meets Veronica at the hotel bar. Instantly, he gets mesmerized by her presence. One thing lead to another, and Veronica gave Jess the "first time". Jess, believing in the magic of what happened between them, decides that Veronica is his one true love. However, there is one problem; Veronica has no idea that he is not rich. Afraid that revealing himself will make him lose Veronica, Jess starts to pretend the part. He kept on doing this until his resources spill away. The inevitable happens, and Veronica learns the truth about Jess. Jess has nothing else but himself to prove his love for Victoria despite all the deception that he perpetuated in order to get into her world. Can love change Jess? Will he ever realize true love does not pretend?
