Cinemanía (Spain)Daniel de PartearroyoA literary game that drowns between subplays and emotional climaxes chained together while quoting Nicanor Parra. [Full review in Spanish]
User ReviewJean-Pol CNicole Krauss' book is a poetic masterpiece, and, you would think, impossible to translate to the screen given its complicated structure. I really thought I'd be disappointed, as in so many other movie adaptations. This is the exception to the rule. The director did a marvellous job to bring the story, poetry, and emotions alive without getting the spectator confused. This film is a jewel in today's cinema world. Pure pleasure to watch!
User ReviewD BA brilliant book lost in caricature and 'over the top' Jewish accents and remarkably poor acting from Jacobi and Gould.
