Ozus' World Movie Reviews - 8/10 by Dennis SchwartzHits a few high notes over the music but hits too many low notes after fudging the biography with too much fictionalization.
EmanuelLevy.Com - 6/10 by Emanuel LevyThis conventional biopic of the famous Italian tenro was one of 1951's biggest commercial hits due to Mario Lanza's popularity at the time.
User Review - 10/10 by Roche FCaruso started it all off - he sold the first gold disc - actually, a gold cylinder, in 1907 (yes, I know about the 1903 version!) This film does the man and his music much justice - he was never much of a music snob.
User Review - 10/10 by Michele MWELL.... ITS A SAPPY HOLLYWOOD MOVIE.. BUT I LOVE THE MUSIC.. TOO BAD MARIO LANZA ABUSED HIMSELF SO MUCH & DIED TOO YOUNG!!! AWESOME VOICE!
User Review - 10/10 by Miriam Gif u like opera mario sings all the favourites, super movie tracing his life and loves. if u dont like opera u will love it after this movie
User Review - 8/10 by Chrisanne SNot bad. I actually listened to the music here. Some humorous moments.
User Review - 8/10 by Michael TLavish MGM musical was the zenith of both Mario Lanza and Joe Pasternak's careers; Lanza's hit single "The Loveliest Night of the Year" is sung in the film by Ann Blyth.
User Review - 8/10 by Ann JThe best film featuring the great voice of Mario Lanza playing the part of Enrico caruso
User Review - 8/10 by Juan JThe movie that substantiated my affection for Turner Classic Movies ought not be viewed as any kind of serious biography or even as a coherent story. The plot and the characters are all incidental to the series of wonderful musical performances featuring vocalist Mario Lanza, whose voice surely emanates often from the jukebox in Heaven.
User Review - 8/10 by Adrian BLanza's portrayal of the great Enrico is HIGHLY impressive - such talent!
