| User ReviewMike MPresumably issued as a Laurel & Hardy Christmas special - the pair are out selling (abysmal) greetings cards when they get caught up in a plot to make the husband of one of their prospective customers jealous - and maybe 'twas the season, because it takes almost a full reel to warm up. The OTT characterisation of the hubby ("You're making a terrible mistake - you, the best shot in all Paris!") and clever plotting nudges it along - on the night of the duel he's trying to avoid fighting, Ollie passes out in a drunken stupor, only for the nightcops to deliver him at the address on his opponent's card - though it's Stan's reaction to a long-distance phone call from Atlanta, Georgia that remains the undisputed highlight. |
