The grandson of the notorious bandit El Toro witnesses the murder of his parents by men trying to hijack the gold they were carrying. After El Toro saves the life of Hop-a-long Cassidy, Cassidy agrees to find and protect the boy, who is in hiding from the killers, whom he can identify.
