Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzOnly the stuntmen excel in this star-studded but inane war film filled with tiresome cliches.
User ReviewKevin M. WBased on a true story, thank you all, especially to those who took part and sacrificed in 1SSF. The pioneers who took the 1st step towards today's modern special forces. TY so much. From vet to another.
User ReviewMicki Mfar cry from The Dirty Dozen... in a class of its own
User ReviewJosiah SThis was a great war flick as well as, surprisingly, a really good movie. My wife actually sat down and watched it with me and enjoyed it (she usually doesn't). The relationship between the crack troops of Canada with the AWOLs, deserters and fighters of the American army was just classic script writing. The plot was pretty historically accurate concerning the 1st Special Forces Brigade but on top of that it was really entertaining. Great watch for any war movie buff.

User ReviewKeith Kit was an excellent movie of the 1st Special Service Force...a Canadian and American unit...
User ReviewIda KLike all the original WWII movies this one is my favorite; because it actually portrays some Canadian content!
User ReviewKim PI actually really enjoyed this film. Not being especially versed in WW2 military history I could enjoy the film for what it was, Hollywood. Very rarely is anything even close to accurate. It was great to see Vince Edwards in one of his few major post Ben Casey roles, and I wonder why the parts for him disappeared. I don't think I have ever seen Cliff Robertson any better, he was absolutley amazing. The first quarter bothered me, I couldn't get a real feel for the other men. There's no real emphasis on them as individuals, and I was still attaching names to faces after 3/4 of the film. One of my new favorites, and a must see.
