Jösta Hagelbäck was the rocker who stirred and disturbed the Swedish film and tried to renew language of moving images. After his graduation film "The Visit" at the Film School, he was invited to Hollywood. Had an artistic hit with the film "Kejsaren/The Emperor" (1979) at the Berlin Film Festival and scandalized with the showcase "Furstespegel", which was stopped by the censorship on Swedish TV2. He managed to get Ernst Hugo Järegård to shave his hair in "Gråtvalsen" (1983), made the infamous "Venus 90" (1988). Jösta Hagelbäck was also known as poet, artist and musician. He was born in Kolsva 1945 and died in his home in Köping on Friday, October 25, 2009.
