Leave your thoughts about The Boogens.
Combustible CelluloidJeffrey M. AndersonThis is a fairly typical, low-rent, low-imagination horror movie of the early 1980s.
FEARnetScott WeinbergHey, we weren't all that demanding of our low-budget monster movies in 1981.
Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)John BeifussThe director keeps the creatures off-camera for most of the film, but when they do show up they're at once ridiculous and brilliant: rubbery, king crab-like things...
User ReviewJuli NOne of the best b-movies ever made really scary and interesting. What is Star Wars V in front of this masterpiece.
User ReviewAlberto GThis is a classic 80's Monster Movie from my childhood that, while I'm sure it is hard to take seriously nowadays, at the time, I loved it, and after watching it this past weekend, my thoughts on it still stand, strong and proud! The film centers around an old silver mine that has just been reopened, thus awaking these turtle/octopus like creatures who have a taste for human flesh. Soon, these creatures (vintage visual effects instead of lame CGI) come from out of their underground dwellings and start tearing people's asses apart. Some of the stuff that I have seen make it to DVD is insane and makes me mad when I think that The Boogens has not gotten the DVD treatment. SOMEONE, PLEASE BRING THIS MOVIE TO DVD!!!
User ReviewDaniel RNever gets any recognition, but it's super awesome, and you actually care about the characters. Little creatures in the mine shaft? AWESOME.

User ReviewNiklas SThis great cult classic, long unavailable on anything but a poorly transferred VHS copy, will be released on DVD! Watch for it. The Blu-Ray version is terrific! Stephen King loved this movie!
User ReviewKristian MClassic monster horror from Paramount, gotta love any movie that has a doom-sayer.
