Leave your thoughts about The Big White.
Combustible CelluloidJeffrey M. AndersonThough it's better than Robin Williams' recent theatrical hit R.V., it still doesn't quite click.
ViewLondonMatthew TurnerEnjoyably quirky thriller with bizarre, off-the-wall performances from its entire cast and some striking location work.
VarietyRobert KoehlerSnowed under by misjudgment on every level, The Big White is DOA. Despite a cast that generally reads like an indie production's wish list, pic's tendency to liberally borrow from the Coen Brothers playbook of comic mayhem is exceeded only by its lack of sense of what's actually funny.
FulvueDrive-in.comChuck O'LearyA lame Fargo wannabe. Despite Robin Williams and a decent supporting cast, this was barely released to theaters, and it's easy to see why.
EmpireChris Hewitt (1)Utterly implausible and clunkily directed. Rent "Fargo" instead.
The Hollywood ReporterJohn DeForeIce-bound black comedy boasts strong cast for an indie but can't quite decide what it wants to be.
L.A. WeeklyRobert AbeleThe clammy eccentricity on display -- is like a wet blanket, while Colin Friesen's lazy screenplay has all the wit of a slushball. "March of the Penguins" was funnier and edgier.
User ReviewojtThis film is so funny, that it's one of my dark comedy favorites. Holly Hunter is brilliant as the the mad wife with Tourettes desease, Woody Harrelson is just amazingly funny, and so is Giovani Ribisi and Robin Williams. The film is very much underrated. The opening scene is just amazing, and then the fil goes on like a Fargo-style winter crime, just way funnier.
User ReviewJennifer MI'm not generally into Robin Williams in art house flicks, but this one is really interesting.
User Review~Kristin~I love Holly Hunter in this. She's so f'n funny!!
