Movie ViewsRyan CracknellThe comedic value of kids talking like a bitter pirate with hemorrhoids and smoking [was] played out mid-way through the first film.
The New York TimesVincent CanbyManufactured comedy of a slick order, depending aImost entirely for its effects on the sight and sound of a bunch of kids behaving as if they were small adults. It's a formula that worked for Our Gang Comedy for many years, and works again here with a bright screenplay by Paul Brickman, based on Bill Lancaster's original characters, and direction of intelligent lightness by Michael Presman.
Washington PostGary ArnoldThe original The Bad News Bears was a home run, but the sequels are little more than weak trips back to the mound.
User ReviewJoe BGreat Badeball movie terrific sports movie . IF you love a great baseball move you will The Bad news Bears in breaking training enjoy my friends
User ReviewCraig W"What do you mean Biscuts and coleslaw are extra" This was my all time favorite movie when I was a kid
User ReviewRyan DAlot of people like the original better and I can respect that but this is my favorite Bad News Bears movie. They fire their new coach, bribe the slow groundskeeper to pose as their coach and chaperone for their parents, and drive to Houston in a stolen van unattended to play a bunch of rednecks in a sanctioned exhibition championship game in the Astrodome and its all sponsored by Budweiser. My favorite character is Tanner Boyle and his wonderful politically incorrect late 70's mouth. William Devane plays Kelly's estranged father who agrees to coach the team. The original is good, this ones great, dont bother with Japan, and forget they ever did a remake.
User Reviewjavier lgood movie it made me felt like a little kiid again
User ReviewDaddy RWilliam Devane & Jackie Earl Haley contribute memorable, meaningful, and relevant performances for any kid like me who grew up in the 70's.
User ReviewBen RIf you can get past the fact that Matthau isn't in this, it's actually a really good sequel bringing back almost all the kids from the original film. William Devane does a great job as the replacement coach. Jackie Earle Haley is alittle older but is still effective as the know it all, rebel kid with a heart of gold. This is also a great kids road movie too, its a shame its taken me this long to see it. All in all you could do alot worse for a sequel to such a well known film from the 70s.
User ReviewSanford RNot as good as the first, but I still enjoyed it :)
