User Review - 10/10 by Joe DThis is a must see. It's THE best stupid old horror movie. It's hilarious.
User Review - 10/10 by Will "the Thrill" VWeird, colorful, cheesy trip, dig that rat-bat-spider-crab monster!
User Review - 8/10 by Carlton RA b picture that does not take itself too seriously. Yes some of the sets and props are cheap but it's great fun. While exploring Mars one of the crew was attacked by a carnivorous plant. A variety of events occur in the attempt to return to earth, including monsters that attempt to kill the crew, Great giant Bat spider! However When all of the data brought back by the expedition is examined, the mission scientists find a recorded message. An alien voice announces that the crew were allowed to leave so they can deliver a message to Earth. The Martians are watching human development and believe its technology has outpaced cultural advancement. They warn humanity to never return to Mars or Earth will be destroyed in retaliation.Great fun
User Review - 8/10 by FilmGrinder S87% "To Hell with radiation, let's go."-Maj. Gen. George Treegar (Paul Hahn) Cheeseball from Mars. Tons of horrible 'space' jargon, and let's just say space travel protocol has changed a bit (of course it was made before humans were propelled into space...or was it?). "It wasn't just a friendly imbrace."-Dr Iris 'Irish' Ryan (Naura Hayden)
User Review - 8/10 by Bruce BOne of the many American International Pictures Sci-fi films to hit the drive - in theaters during the sixties. Is there some life form on Mars, maybe no the kind everyone thinks now days, but in 1959 Mars was Red so when we walked on mars during this movie everything was red. This is a film from the MGM Midnite Movie Series. Reason I watched it, The special effects are pretty cheap but he its 1959 and cheap was good. 4 stars
User Review - 8/10 by Fred FA returning space probe said to have been lost after landing on Mars has it's crew questioned on what happened on the red planet. Iris Ryan being the only survivor who is lucid, other than the colonel who is in a coma with a amoeba growing from his arm, is able to recall the tragic events that unfolded while on Mars which cost the lives of two other crew members. What she recalls is rather frightening: an amoeba-like creature, a rat-bat-spider hybrid and a venus fly trap hybrid. The big highlight from this little midnight sci/fi flick is, of course, the rat-bat-spider hybrid which looked particularly awesome considering how cheesey it might be today. Best viewed at midnight.
User Review - 8/10 by mike psaw this years ago and loved it. But i need to see it again.
User Review - 8/10 by Lisa HI'm mad because I read Ryan Crancknell's review of The Angry Red Planet and I think he is a worthless writer with little to offer his readers. It is amazing that legit places don't check out their reviewers before they let them write reviews. I guess they are letting anyone write reviews these days. I just wish that Ryan Cracknell could tell his readers a little more truth about a movie than he does. This movie has a really good story. I enjoyed it. I thought when people like Ryan Cracknell post reviews, they are supposed to help people make a decision as to weather it is worth watching or not. His reviews are either negative or positive. He does not know how to balance out a review. A review, to me, is when one writes good things and bad things about a movie. I really don't think he is capable of doing that. I know that I am going to find a new reviewer to read my reviews from. Thanks - Lisa
User Review - 8/10 by Jim MAnother post war Sci-Fi classic dealing with Communist aggression yet, it came out in 1960 prior to the public awareness of Viet Nam. Question! Was this a warning of what is to come i Asia or a warning to stay out of Europe for WW III?
User Review - 8/10 by Mark Van instant classic. this movie didn't make the oscars because it was way ahead of its time
