Movie Reviews

Ozus' World Movie Reviews - 7/10 by Dennis SchwartzAn unsatisfactory obscure political film about the Spanish Civil War.
User Review - 6/10 by jay nDecent story of the Spanish Civil War with a good performance by Dirk Bogarde. Ava Gardner at the height of her beauty is quite wonderful.
User Review - 6/10 by Allan CReligion and romance mix in this drama set during the Spanish Civil War. The underrated Nunnally Johnson co-wrote and directed the film. Johnson's efforts as a director are often more soapy than I prefer, and this film suffers from that here too. It's certainly no "For Whom the Bell Tolls" but it's pretty entertaining and I'm surprised this film never seen a video release. It was kind of cool to catch this out-of-print film on TCM.
