Roberto is a young, ambitious lawyer who is engaged to Sara. His whole life is perfectly planned out. During a expropriation he's in charge of, he meets Micol,a gorgeous, provocative young woman from a small Tuscan village. Famous anchorman Fabio has been the perfect husband for 25 years when at a party one night he meets femme fatale Eliana, who wants more than a one-night stand. Adrian is an American art-history professor who moved to Rome after his divorce and became friends with his building's concierge Augusto, whose ebullient daughter Viola is about to disrupt his peaceful existence and relight his dormant fire.

Three stories, somehow connected, tell us about three different couples of different ages: 'youth', 'maturity' and 'the beyond'. They are no ordinary couples and that's what makes it different from other 'kaleidoscop' movies like "Real love". And the striptease performed by DeNiro ('the beyond' story) is genuinely touching.

User Review - 6/10 by Domna KSo I may have come late to this trilogy and as a result may have been lost in the zone of unknowingness at times, but I felt betrayed by the whole thing, particularly the trailer, which smacked of romance and general comforting Italianess (plus Bellucci and de Niro are only part of one short story at the end of the film FYI!!). But this turns out to be a slapstick comedy, which, granted, will provide some side-splitting moments, but on the whole, becomes an incomprehendable, confusing and chessy mess. Now not to be a cynical prick about it, (and I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it's JUST a vehicle for de Niro to impress with his new-found ability to speak the mother language) and I did enjoy moments in it but it just doesn't endear me to cross the cultural divide and embrace the modernity of 'sexy' Italy right at this moment (I would gladly embrace Monica Bellucci anyday though!). Having said that it will be popular no doubt.
