Leave your thoughts about That Guy... Who Was in That Thing.
tonymacklin.netTony MacklinThe film gives a greater insight into the lives of character actors. It brings them out of the shadows.
User ReviewErik VYou'll probably recognize more than half of the actors portrayed in this documentary, but will probably not know their names or remember exactly in what show or movie you saw them until the documentary tells you, at which point you will go from thinking, "he's that guy who was in that thing" to "oh yeah, that's where I saw him."
User ReviewErin Djust discovered this on Netflix - EXCELLENT!
User ReviewChristopher BHonest look at the Hollywood experience of 16 actors. Many "working" actors may only work 15-40 days a year and take home < 40% after publicists and agents. Most SAG actors don't work for many months at a time. I recognized two of these actors right away, but it turned out that I had seen all of them at some point. Thank God for Star Trek - and a shame it's no longer on the small screen. Also interesting no actresses were interviewed - just sayin'.....
User ReviewMichael WAn intimate look at what it takes to be a "that guy" actor in Hollywood.
User ReviewChris CDEFINITELY interesting. Candid and honest. Plus, I love the fact that most of them acted in a Star Trek series.
User ReviewNathan Si thought this was interesting and insightful if you give a shit about anything hollywood.
User ReviewJon CAnd you thought your job was hard. The film shows the lives of those successful enough to be recognized, but unfamiliar with the star lifestyle. Wholly recommended for those interested in acting or Hollywood in general.
User ReviewMitch HVery eye opening look into the lives of the "character" actor.
User ReviewDavid DIt's basically an interview with a lot of "character actors" and their struggles to keep active in their career and they really make you understand how hard the business is. Big stumbling block of this doc, NO WOMEN.
