User ReviewDonald WTarzan kind of jumps the shark with this one. But it's still Tarzan, so who cares.
User ReviewJames HExceptionally good entry in the Tarzan series, beautifully filmed, great story with a terrific cast, Henry Stephenson and Henry Wilcoxon. One of the best Tarzan films.

User ReviewKevin M. WMore of the simple life, away from the choatic urban toil and struggle of modern civilization, and away to a secret escarpment hidden in darkest Africa, home to the king of the jungle. A plane crash provides the king and his mate a little rambunctious heir but Jane wonders if perhaps England is better for the child. The 4th of the series, still effective, still vibrant, even if Jane's whining gets aggravating. If only things could be as simple as life in the jungle! If only everybody could kill a rhino with just a Bowie knife!

User ReviewScott SI've watched 4 of these Weissmuller Tarzan flicks, and so far, so good. This time, I was surprised at the dramatic twist in act three -- Jane betrays Tarzan. Nice underwater photography in this one, too. Plus, whenever you got monkeys riding elephants into battle, it can only be a good thing.
User ReviewBryan CThe only interesting thing in this movie is how Jane and Tarzan have to find an infant in the jungle rather than make one of their own, as if the idea that a non-church sanctioned marriage between a civilized woman and a beast-man of the jungle was too risque for bearing children. At least they make a good story out of it. Once again British people traipse into the jungle to find Tarzan, and once again they get greedy for ivory. The repetition is tiresome when you watch the movies back to back. They're still recycling action footage from the first film (and that footage was probably recycled from earlier silent films). Tarzan is the perfect example of what a disservice censorship did to Hollywood.
