Leave your thoughts about Swearnet: The Movie.
Jam! MoviesLiz BraunIt just gets sort of stupid. And the movie is too long. But these are minor quibbles.
The Globe and Mail (Toronto)John SemleyThis is Canadian cinema as defiantly ugly and mean as anything churned out from the bowels of callous ol’ Hollywood.
Los Angeles TimesGary Goldstein"Swearnet" builds up enough brazen energy and crass goodwill to propel a watchable first hour before it starts to flounder.
Toronto StarLinda BarnardHere's an indication of how bad the out-of-character Trailer Park Boys' comedy Swearnet: The Movie is: the best thing about it is bottom-drawer Canadian comic Tom Green.
National PostNathalie AtkinsonSwearnet is just a ragged, overlong sizzle reel.
Hollywood ReporterFrank ScheckThe film lazily directed by Warren P. Sonoda barely manages to squeeze a single laugh into its interminable 112-minute running time.
The New York TimesNeil GenzlingerListening to these three swear up a blue streak is amusing for five minutes or so, but that’s about it.
Village VoiceAaron HillisCanadian comedy hits rock bottom in this abhorrent meta-infomercial.
User ReviewSarah CNever mind the movie critics. It is hilarious and yes it is very offensive if you are sensitive to swearing. This is what they are all about and take it from a person who has been with the real website from almost the beginning. Critics have never been too happy with the boys but I have a feeling this will turn into a cult classic.
User ReviewCameron DFirstly, I would like to start by saying that I am not a Trailer Park Boys fan. I don't dislike it, but I've never made it must-see viewing. I've caught a handful of episodes at best. Having sat through the "Drunk and On Drugs Happy Funtime Hour", I was left wondering if maybe Tremblay, Wells and Smith just weren't for me. Then this movie happened. I'll admit that as an advocate of free speech (and by that, I mean swearing as often as possible) I was one of the first on board with joining the Swearnet web site. I have my FF certificate, and am proud of it. But I did it more as support for three men in their attempt to go beyond TPB than any desire to actually see the movie. But see it I did. I laughed, heartily, many times. Though the premise sometimes feels forced, and some of the writing could have been handled better, the execution for the sake of laughter was a bullseye. And if that's the only thing they were going for, they hit a home run. This is a funny, funny movie, and it's easy to forgive the scenes that don't quite fit. See this movie. Even if just to say that you did and were a part of the movement, you won't be disappointed in the investment of time and money. To the four men, and the rest of the team, you have my undying support. I am a member of the Swearnet Army, and always will be.
