Sydney Morning HeraldBrad NewsomeA feature-length indictment of an American legal system in which justice comes a distant last behind the interests of politicians, prosecutors, private-prison operators and the big-name companies that profit from the forced labour of a million prisoners.
Entertainment VoiceAlci RengifoSurvivors Guide to Prison is a very uncomfortable viewing experience. It will make you angry and shock you. But with this sort of subject matter, maybe that is the appropriate effect.
Film InquiryAmyana BartleySurvivors Guide to Prison has changed the way I view the American justice system. There's not enough room in any review to account for all of it's essential information. It is a testament to how the 1% rule our world at the expense of everyone else.
Movie BoeufDavid N. ButterworthWhat if you're not a murderer or a rapist or a thief yet find yourself facing incarceration? You're going to need the "Survivors Guide to Prison."
Film PulseAdam PattersonA film that, though it may be a bit too boisterous for its own good, is nonetheless one that everyone should see and talk about.
User ReviewMary KPrince, moving and eye opening. Thank you for making this documentary!
User ReviewJ BThe average American commits 2-3 felonies a day, probably not even realizing it... So yeah, don't leave home without seeing it.
User ReviewPawel UI found this to be an honest depiction of what is wrong with the criminal justice system in this country. Education and knowledge is very important and i believe this to be a very good start in exposing the injustices that people fave on a daily basis
User ReviewJon-Paul SGreat documentary that touches on some real problems in the criminal justice and court systems in this country. This should be required viewing in schools. Highly reccomended.
User ReviewRazvan Florentin Pmandatory education, step towards a sane direction To be a doctor, 00:10:54,952 --> 00:10:56,953 you have to go to school for many years. To be a lawyer, you have to go to school for many years. I don't understand how somebody with just a high school diploma or a GED can have that type of power, to be an officer of the law with a pistol that can take someone's life, literally, or with the charges they put on you."
