Kunal Mehra lives a middle-classed lifestyle in Borivali, Mumbai, along with his disapproving dad, Purabi, and supportive mom, Kusum. He has a sweetheart in Mausam, an aspiring Journalist. Ever since he was 8 years of age, Kunal wanted to act in Bollywood movies much to his dad's displeasure. He gets a break when his look-alike, Karan Saxena, the leading man of his dad's production 'Super Star' has qualms about heights and is unable to act. Kunal steps into Karan's shoes, and even accompanies the unit to film in Bangkok, Thailand. Shortly thereafter the media explodes with the news that Karan has been injured, and Kunal has been killed in a car accident. Watch what impact this news has on the Mehra family, the Saxenas, Mausam, as well as on the outcome of the movie.

| User ReviewThérèse AOMG, where do I even begin? Well, maybe the obvious first: Kunal isn't just a pretty face, he's also an amazing actor. I cried every time he cried. And that's saying something, cuz I haven't cried @ the movies since the notebook! THe story line... beautiful story. So involved, so emotional, real... Although it may seem like a deja vu, it absolutely isn't. It's so much more than your average, dead person replacement story!!! I started out just wanting to see this because I saw that Kunal was in it, and after my first encounter with him in Traffic light, I've been a huge fan. Though, I wasn't sure what the movie was going to be like, I was pleasantly surprised! I loved it. I loved it. I loved it!!! THe soundtrack.... I'm online getting ready to buy it right now! So touching and beautiful! Overall, it's just a must see movie. Just is. I'll end by quoting Proneet of Chakpak: " in Kunal Khemu hindi cinema has a ready-made star only if the media is free from the so called young stars who cant even act if they have to carry a film on their own shoulders . Kunal does just that in Superstar & comes out In flying colours . hope the media smells coffee & wake up to this dynamite of a talent ." |

The plot was interesting, duplicate topics are common in hindi movies ne.. but this duplicate was hot ! lool and the songs amazing ! Kunal Khemmu.. watch out.. he is the next real super star.. already one for me... Tulip Joshi was great too.. like in Dhoka <33 |

| User ReviewAakriti GSurprisingly good movie. It starts in a so-called traditional style where you?ll find a guy (Kunal) struggling to make it big in bollywood. He believes that there will come one day, where he?ll get his chance of the breakthrough. But for unfortunately for him, another guy (Karan), who has exactly same face as Kunal, and is a son of a well-known producer, also got launched. Kunal feels his dreams are smashed into pieces. But then he gets a chance he can?t resist? You?ve probably seen a number of movies with one actor, who is playing double role. Here is the same concept, but still, the story is interesting and well told. In addition, you find a couple of good songs here too. Especially, ?Mann Tu Talbat?, and its remix version which will set fire on the dance floor? |
