Jack Chester, an overworked air traffic controller, takes his family on vacation to the beach. Things immediately start to go wrong for the Chesters, and steadily get worse. So after running into a rich arrogant man's boat and refusing to pay for it he ends up racing him in a boat race. For anyone who loves John Candy as much as I do you will find this movie to be the perfect treat. Just like all the movies he is in Jonh Candy will have you howling will laughter. |

| User ReviewChris JIf you love the great comics of the 70's and 80's, you have to see this film. Though I do recommend this film to everyone of all ages, I know that, that certain group of people will cherish this film more so. This has got to be the best John Candy film ever made. One reason he is the star, he is not sharing the spotlight with anyone else. A slim Rip Torn has a supporting role in this film that compliments Candy's. He noless plays a wanna be pirate. Imagine all the things that could go wrong on a summer vaccation, well poor John, that is exactly what happens to John's family vaccation in this film. Light hearted and fun. This film is full of laughter and will make you smile from ear to ear. |
