Movie Reviews

Film Journal International - 6/10 by Eric MonderChallenging, unsettling little movie doesn't quite come together.
Slant Magazine - 6/10 by Chris CabinNicholas Pereda shows nothing short of immense promise here, especially in his enigmatic framing and collaborative effort with his regular DP, Alejandro Colonado.
Time Out - 6/10 by David FearThough Summer of Goliath has its share of grace notes and gorgeous shots, the anxiety of influence hangs heavy over every real-time interaction, every direct testimony, every re-creation (and re-re-creation) of allegedly true incidents.
The New York Times - 5/10 by Mike HaleCarrying far more weight than their screen time would warrant, the "interviews" with actors playing young children are the best part of the film.
Variety - 4/10 by Boyd van HoeijPereda moves into territory where atmosphere and tone are more important than story or character.
