IndiewireAnisha JhaveriThe solid performances can’t distract from an overly ambitious and crowded plot.
The Times of IndiaSrijana Mitra DasThe performance which really impresses is Sultan's friend Govind (Anant), who stands by his buddy through broken heart and crushed rib, charming throughout.
International Business TimesArkadev GhoshalYes, this Salman Khan movie does leave a mark, but Salman Khan alone does not get to be the sole earner of the praise.
Hindustan TimesRohit VatsWe all know what to expect from such a film, but it's still a lot of fun to see the underdog win.
Hindustan TimesAnupama ChopraSultan is an overwrought, overblown, over-stretched sports saga. When it ended, I had moist eyes and a big grin on my face. In wrestling terms, it's an over-sized Salman slam.
FilmfareRachit GuptaWhen it comes to entertainment, Sultan packs a solid punch.

User ReviewPaul AI am so glad that I went to see this movie! This is my favorite film since Eddie the Eagle. I absolutely adore underdog stories and this is a great one. It's kind of the Indian Rocky story. Sultan has some serious charisma. His story is inspiring and heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I was tense and on the edge of my seat worrying about how it was all going to end... Do yourself a favor and go see it while it's still in the movie theaters.
