Shockya.com - 9/10 by Brent SimonAiming for some theoretical sweet spot between comedy, courtroom drama and Up-with-Jesus! sermonizing, this inane film can't even be saved via attempted personality transfusion from Malcolm McDowell. 'Trial of the century,' huh? Only in movie hell.
User Review - 10/10 by Zoltan SThis movie was very unusual in its artistry. I found it to be quite enjoyable and pleasant to watch. Bart Bronson was perfect as a frustrated law student with a conflicting personal life. The power that McDowell radiates is impressive, and a little frightening. After this movie, I felt moved by the incredible emotive wave that possessed me throughout the film. It was very easy to sympathize with Luke's wife, and frankly, Luke should definitely have paid more attention to her. The special effects were intriguing, the acting wonderful, and the story provocative. This movie confirms the myth that lawyers are really demons from Hell. It also has an excellent cast. I really enjoyed this movie, it's very cool, and I highly recommend it.
User Review - 10/10 by Susanne PAs a film critic, I review faith-based movies all the time. This is one of the best and 'hand-seared' movies made in 2011. In an age of cookie-cutter movies, this stands out for it's stark originality and fresh viewpoint. I disagree that the film is preachy - what, having a pastor prove God exists in 30 seconds is preachy? This is a brilliant film that strips of all excess subplots and unnecessary dialogue. Bravo to Malcolm and the producers for making a brave and bold movie with heart.

User Review - 10/10 by john oThe raw emotions of a young man dealing with betrayal, pain, and loss and learning to understand the tactics of Satan. Very good yet not that impressed for the hype it has. The film really is very well made and the plot develops beautifully. The acting is spotless and near perfect, McDowell gives an astounding performance that only him could have done with that character in this film. Cinematography was wonderful I mean Australia of all places was riveting with uneven views of daring Sydney Harbor. It's truly a great film but not the best I've seeing this year. I felt that the lead actor was not the best in the world - he tried his best, but came up short.
User Review - 10/10 by Robert LIt was awesome to see that this movie has it's own following on Facebook, and I would like to give my own evaluation of this movie. First of all, I think I must have seen a different film from some of these other reviewers on here. How is it even possible to give it a 4.0??? This is one of the best films of it's genre I have ever seen! I am still feeling overwhelmed by what I saw. It is a very touching, and quite inspiring story about a man, psychologically scarred, and trapped in a situation from which he could have no escape and facing it with immense courage. It so happens that he made a series of mistakes to get himself into his situation, but when the Devil actually shows up to do battle, he doesn't back down. The film conveys very powerfully, the enormity of what will be required of him. As the film develops, the complexities of the character are revealed. The acting is superb, especially from Malcolm McDowell and the other principals, and the development of the adversarial and sparky relationship at the heart of the film is a joy to watch. The film is very funny and the lead characters (Luke Obrien and his wife) have warmth and humanity. The film is well paced, and carries you along to the emotional climax, so that, even though I knew how the story would end, it had me holding my breath. If you don't need lots of action or special effects in your film, and enjoy seeing top-notch actors in a relatively low-budget film, this will be for you. You might also, as I did, gain a bit more insight into how the Devil fits into the scheme of things in this world.
User Review - 10/10 by Patricia PJust saw SUING THE DEVIL tonight! It was even better than I expected. I thought that Malcolm McDowell gave a dazzling performance. Also, I was deeply moved by this movie, and it made me feel good. The most moving thing about it was the trial. This was because the Devil was supposed to be on trial for his crimes against humanity, but somehow things got twisted around, and our hero was on trial in the courtroom of human opinion. I got a little scared at some parts, especially when McDowell was on the stand. This was because he got a little aggressive and scary. In my opinion, the music score was absolutely spellbinding, and if I can find the soundtrack in the record stores, I'm buying it. It's not all seriousness and fright though, because there are very funny moments in the movie as well! Tom Sizemore had me laughing my head off! There were some really funny quotes! This is a very good courtroom drama. Having said that, I give Suing The Devil 8 out of 10 stars.
User Review - 10/10 by Chris BI went to support a family-valued film. But, I was touched and moved by the honesty and the reality of this courtroom drama as they occurred. Some of the special effects with the window scene were awesome, wish there had been more. Tom Sizemore stole every scene he was in. His funny performance was understated and real. Suing the Devil is a tear jerker, with an upbeat message, and ultimately makes you feel triumphant. For the Christians, this is a wake-up call to all the lost people. I know the Facebook page has 17,500 fans!
