Family Home TheaterJames PlathTrace Adkins looks like a character you'd see in the Old West, but he's not much of an actor. Neither are some of the others who mouth poorly written lines or chew scenery....
The Hollywood ReporterFrank ScheckThe action sequences and gun battles are staged with enough flair to satisfy genre fans who haven't gotten their fill with the recent Magnificent Seven remake.
User ReviewMichael CAn exceptional addition to a reviving genre.
User ReviewRobert LA gorgeous looking film. Stagecoach hits all the notes of a classic Western. I particularly like Kim Coates and the dynamic he brings to the menacing character. Overall it's a good time.
User ReviewJoe KMakes me want to saddle up my horses and ride! That was a fun film.

User Reviewmwil236A film constrained equal parts by its budget and writing, Stagecoach is a messily-acted and confusing, albeit genuine attempt by Trace Adkins. While the story seems interesting enough, the characters are not believable, and their behavior inconsistent. Initially touted to be a reformed criminal, Mr. Adkins quickly changes his tune when required by the classic western trope around which this film is based. His crew also shift loyalty frequently; there are necessary details not fleshed out on screen and often times characters seem to know information that they would have no way of finding out (or at least the film lacks the necessary exposition). Unfortunately their director also can't seem to decide on a timeline for the film, using no fewer than 3 time changes throughout the film, and breaking it entirely shortly before the film's climax due to (as mentioned above) a detail magically appearing on screen that was neither explained nor suspected. With better sequencing and dialogue the story is unique enough to be noteworthy, but with inconsistent characters, poorly made action effects and 6/10 acting at best this ends up being a lukewarm and noticeably low budget attempt. Mr. Adkins, if you see this, you're a good singer and an alright actor (Hickok wasn't bad), but this wasn't your strongest work.
User ReviewDavid CWish so badly that good Westerns were still being made. This is basically a soap opera set to a western theme, its just terrible. Go watch an old classic or if you can watch a recent good one called " Salvation". Pass on this one folks.
