| User ReviewKatelyn BAbsolutely hilarious movie from Spain, in spanish but with english subtitles. It's about a group of men in their 30s, all friends, who are having problems ranging from just getting out of jail, a girlfriend turning down a proposal, wife getting an unwanted pregnancy, etc. They decide to solve their problems by forming a futbol (soccer) team, which they all suck at. Tons of cursing and everything else that america at times censures but Europe sees absolutely no problem with. Seriously, a laugh-out-loud, holy shit! movie! And I don't laugh easily at movies, trust me. So good, I bought it after getting back from Spain. Favorite among young people. |

Although a typical male bonding film, the central theme of standing by each other despite their shortcomings and helping each other go through life's crisis in the most idiosyncratic but ingenuous way makes u reminisce the silly things u've ever done with friends. This couple with stellar performances by each actor, makes it an endearing film. |
| User ReviewAntonio RDavid Serrano es la gran esperanza blanca de la comedia española, lo que requeriría unos momentos de reflexión. Si [i]Tapas[/i] es aclamada por la crítica nacional y se lleva premios y jaranas, es normal que un chaval que demuestra un par de virtudes a la hora de escribir diálogos se lo lleve calentito. Recapitulando: Serrano escribió E[i]l otro lado de la cama[/i], aquella de Martínez Lázaro que llamó la atención por ser, más o menos, una comedia musical. Si los actores cantaban fatal, por lo menos sus personajes caían simpáticos. Ante el éxito de taquilla, le dejaron a Serrano dirigir su primer largo, esta [i]Días de fútbol[/i], con un reparto bastante similar al de la otra, minus Guillermo Toledo. El éxito fue de nuevo considerable, así que Serrano ya tiene pendiente de estreno la secuela [i]Los 2 lados de la cama[/i] (como guionista), y prepara su segunda intentona detrás de la cámara, [i]Encerrados en la mina[/i]. LADO BUENO: [i]Días de fútbol[/i] tiene, poco más o menos, las mismas virtudes que [i]El otro lado de la cama[/i], aunque sin canciones: personajes cachonduelos, costumbrismo simpaticón, diálogos caricaturescos pero efectivos, y situaciones de sit-com de toda la vida. Esto último es una virtud en tanto en cuanto la fórmula de la serie cómica en España tiene una tradición potente, aunque sus productos acaben dando grima con frecuencia. Los actores están muy en situación (situación sainete), con un Ernesto Alterio sobresaliente como broncas cortito con ilusiones de ser psicólogo. LADO MALO: Igual que me pasa con los equivalentes televisivos de Serrano, es decir, [i]Aquí no hay quien viva[/i] y compañía, cojo el chiste, pero me parece insuficiente. Me gusta la comedia, me gusta la farsa, me gustan el esperpento, el humor surrealista o pop (véase [i]La hora chanante[/i]), el [i]slapstick[/i] e incluso el [i]splatstick [/i](véase [i]Braindead[/i]), pero esto que triunfa en España, esta guasa situacional, me deja frío. EN TRES (3) PALABRAS: Aprobado por Alterio. |
