PopMattersJ.C. Maçek IIIChan ranges from the casual, one handed beat down (which he often performs without even standing up or breaking a sweat) to the all out, weapon-wielding, man-throwing, face-kicking melee that the best and the worst films of this kind have in spades.
User Reviewjim wSnake & Crane Arts of Shaolin. I liked this one because he does this snake and crane style that he develops for the fun in this film. It has some funny humor when he demonstrates his moves in fights with cute girls. Pretty hilarious and a lot of Kung Fu fighting!
User ReviewBrad HGreat movie for True Jackie Chan fans or Even fans of Kung Fu movies. I would put this movie in one of the top five of Jackie's best movies, The fight scenes are amazing and well choreographed. And yes there is tons of them and the story is very interesting and will keep you entertained throughout the film. Yes there is some slap stick comedy in it but it is very well thought out and funny. Had me laughing a couple times. So if your looking for a cool movie to watch, I would recommend this for anyone and any Jackie Chan fans out there.
User ReviewEli BPretty cool fighting, and it's funny too.
User ReviewNeo LIf you have not seen it, stop wasting time reading this and go watch it!
User ReviewSamuel GThis differs from standard format- no training montage, unbelievable Jackie kung-fu from scene one. One of his best early pure kung-fu films, unfortunately only available dubbed. The fights are awesome, some of the best ever. Interest is maintained as he is hiding his amazing technique, but as the film progresses he is forced to use his new style. "The secret is to try not to hit too hard."
User ReviewDan DOL SKOOL, NOT MANY KNO ABOUT IT, BUT CLASSIC!!!!!!!
User ReviewTara rTo be honest im a big fan of jackie chan.. I've seen all sort of his movie..so awesome!!
User ReviewN DThis is something of a lost gem of a Jackie Chan flick. The action sequences are shockingly old-school for Chan, but the sheer amount of them more than make up this- also, if you pay attention, you may notice Jackie giving the jerk-off gesture and flipping the bird mid-fight on two occaisions! Good plot, good supporting cast...
User ReviewLorenzo VThis is actually one of Jackie's most serious martial arts movies. It is interesting to see the contrast of the character Jackie plays here (the cocky young martial artist looking for revenge) to the bumbling guy who is thrust into action by circumstances beyond his control. Jackie is in control the whole film and he is basically the instigator. The fights scenes are fluid and Jackie's athleticism shines through. Well worth a watch if you are a fan of old school martial arts movies.
