People are dying mysteriously and gruesomely, and nobody has a clue what the cause is. Only health worker Mike Brady has a possible solution, but his theory of killer slugs is laughed at by the authorities. | User ReviewLouise AThis is one of those "so bad it's amazing" movies. One of the reviews on the main page compares it to "Plan 9 From Outer Space" in the regard and I have to agree. The dialog alone is enough to make you laugh till it hurts. I owned a VHS copy of this in highschool and it was the hit of parties. Now it's out on DVD and I am soooo happy. |

| User ReviewSenor Cif you're looking for a killer slug movie it's probably as good as it's going to get. More so if you like Italian horror 'cause it's directed by the same guy who did Pieces (but no where as sleazy..well a little sleazy) |

At first, because I'm "soooo desensitized," I kind of did an internal eye roll at the opening sequence on the babe on the boat watching her honey get eaten by mysterious things in the water... ...but then! Bleck bleck bleck bleck bleck! These slugs are AWFUL! I was physically repulsed at least 8 times! It was fun to actually cover my eyes with my hands because it was done so well. One slug with teeth is cute, hundreds... vile!! And the restaurant scene!!! AND, more than that (!) the slugs were surrounded by the best kind of people, particular people! Like all sheriff's, this town's sheriff has some of the best lines. There also is this truly tragic sub-story of the "good girl" at the high school. Who knew that health inspectors and sanitation workers could be so heroic! |
