User Review - 8/10 by shelly bGreat sorority slasherish flick, has a nice 70s feel. I loved the melodrama and the "twists"
User Review - 6/10 by Joe KWrong year too but a Good fun movie, Part of Joe's Moonlight Drive Cinema!
User Review - 6/10 by Michael SFor a horror film made in the 1970's, this one isn't bad... not great, but not bad either. What drags it down is well, the cliche of it... after a tragic event, those involved get killed one by one a la "I Know What You Did Last Summer". I will admit, however, that I did enjoy the "twist" at the end... even if I did see it coming.,,
User Review - 6/10 by Al MThis movie is from the 70's. Low budget, slow movie, good fun or at least for me it was.
User Review - 6/10 by Hobie PNot terrible! Worth a watch for slasher fans.
User Review - 4/10 by Justin Wthe movie starts off strong with a creepy cult-like sequence...but from there it turns into a fairly lame film that loses nearly all the potential the opening gave me hope for. despite the disappointment, it's not completely awful...but that still doesn't make it good.
User Review - 4/10 by Warren GSisters of Death (wrong poster by the way) is an interesting if unoriginal concept that doesn't really provide scares or gore. Skip it
User Review - 4/10 by Rob RHow did this one slip past the guys on MST 3k!?!
User Review - 4/10 by Steve MSisters of Death Starring: Arthur Franz, Claudia Jennings, Cheri Howell, Sherry Boucher, Sherry Alberoni, and Paul Carr Director: Joseph Mazzuca Five women and two men are trapped on the property of a crazed father (Franz) intent on revenge for his daughters death seven years earlier during an all-girl secret society initiation gone wrong. "Sisters of Death" is a weak thriller that relies on the characters behaving in illogical and downright idiotic fashions to work. From the moment the five targets of the vengeful father receive invitations to travel to a remote location; to the character who decides she needs a shower, depite the fact there's a murderer hiding in the house; to the "twist ending", this film is a prime of example of lazy scriptwriting. The acting and photography are nothing to cheer about either. This thing is watchable, and it may be a worthy of a Bad Movie Nite, but it's about as bland as could be. (Oh... and that aforementioned shower? Don't get your hopes up, boys. It happens off-screen.)
User Review - 4/10 by Adam RDon't expect an S&M flick featuring leather-clad, greasy-haired lesbians, as the cover art above suggests. "Sisters of Death" is a slog through the unimaginative murder mystery territory only hack '70s screenwriters could create. Edmond Clybourn (Arthur Franz), father of a girl killed in a sorority initiation gone awry, is intent on exacting vengeance on his daughter's fellow sisters. To that end, he pays two bumbling vagabonds to pick up the five ladies and escort them to his mountain chateau. There, hijinks ensue when the men sneak into the compound, Edmond turns on the electric fence, and introduces himself to his guests, telling them he intends to receive satisfaction. That last bit is one of many problems with "Sisters of Death." Apart from the shallow, stock heroines and the numerous (surprisingly so, considering the rather basic setup) contrivances required to move the story along, Edmond's early appearance before the protagonists destroys any tension that might have been had had the antagonist stayed offscreen; numerous early scenes of Edmond fashioning and loading homemade bullets are much, much more effective than any scene in which the slight, unimposing man is fully in-view.
