Michael is fed up with the portrayal of Latinos in film and TV. With his passion for acting and self respect hanging in the balance, he decides to take destiny into his own hands by making a movie. Michael's dream soon becomes a nightmare as he encounters the trials of independent film making: dwindling budgets, actors' egos and jealous boyfriends. | User ReviewJ DUno no se identifica con nadie. A pesar de que la idea es buena para romper estereotipos, no dedican el tiempo para crear/construir un verdadero problema. Mas bien se enfoca en el monton de situaciones dificiles a la hora de hacer un filme independiente. Y, bien, eso es parte de. PEro en su intento de demostrar la importancia de romper con los estereotipos, sigue manteniendolos porque recurre a las mismas cosas para contratar a los acotres/actrices sin que haya algo de divertido en eso. Las actuaciones son un tanto clichosas y ninguna tiene notoriedad. En resumidas cuentas, no me gusto para nada la pelicula esta |
| User Reviewpamela nI only watched this because a profesor required it for a script class. I had no desire whatsoever on watching this. I was right, the truth is that the movie sucks, completely. It was made with the intention of breaking the stereotypes that latinos suffer from. I think the director didn't realize that all he did was reinforce them. The attitude of his characters and the music he used only gave the movie an annoying feeling that went in the complete and opposite direction of what his intention was. The only reason I'm rating this with 1 star is because the ending was smart and because I was able to laugh, and let me clarify that I laughed AT the movie, not WITH it. |
| User ReviewJesse OThis movie looks like ass. I'd say it's a bad film, I mean this film just really went nowhere at all in my opinion. It was just very boring and plodding. I mean I thought some of the actors had decent potential, but that's it. At least the last 20 minutes or so of the film were above average...but it doesn't help when this movie is 80 minutes long. Not recommended at all. |
