Leave your thoughts about Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero.
Quad City Times (Davenport, IA)Linda CookEveryone should stand up and cheer for "Sgt. Stubby!"
Film ThreatBobby LePireSgt. Stubby: An American Hero is a highly enjoyable and very well made animated feature. It has something for the whole family, is visually impressive with excellent animation, and a fantastic voice cast.
Reeling ReviewsLaura CliffordProduced by the animation house behind "Captain Underpants," "Sgt. Stubby's" animation looks simplistic on the surface, but is finely shaded with character enriching detail and subtle color.
Hollywood ReporterJordan MintzerStubby hardly shies away from the tough realities of what was known as the War to End All Wars, and it feels both proficiently documented and generally credible, even if it’s hard to believe that a dog did everything you see happening on screen.
RogerEbert.comSusan WloszczynaMuch like the way that Stubby was often underestimated before he found his calling, I came into this film not expecting how much I would appreciate a more thoughtful use of animation to tell an engaging story.
Mark Reviews MoviesMark DujsikThis is World War I as seen through the lens of a children's story, and for what it is, the film is surprisingly effective.
Toronto StarBruce DemaraA tale that has plenty of warmth and charm and even a reasonable amount of suspense that is sure to appeal to its audience.
RTÉ (Ireland)Harry GuerinWhile Logan Lerman, Gérard Depardieu and Helena Bonham Carter are the A-listers lending their voices, their co-star steals the show -- saying so much, without saying anything.
Epoch TimesJoe BendelFrankly, "Sgt. Stubby" is a refreshing film [...]. It has none of the motor-mouthed hipster sarcasm found in recent studio animation.
Movies4KidsJo BerryA fascinating, heart-warming and enjoyably educational movie that's a great, moving introduction to the War To End All Wars for younger children.
