Birmingham Mail Graham YoungThe colourful, simplified computer-generated animation will be easy on the eye for youngsters ( ... ) that the singing is sometimes less polished than parts of Mamma Mia! won't matter to older toddlers.
Common Sense MediaRenee SchonfeldWarm-hearted animated elf story with mild violence.
ViewLondonJennifer TateVoiced by a recognisable cast, Saving Santa is a pleasant and well-timed festive animation, but its unsophisticated storyline, general lack of humour and substandard soundtrack ultimately let it down.
Observer (UK)Mark KermodeOn this evidence, Santa's sadly not worth saving.
London Evening StandardCharlotte O'SullivanI watched it with a nine-year-old who said: "This film is so annoying I want to kick it!"
User ReviewJulia LThis is old-fashioned Christmas animation with solid values, encouraging honesty, hard work, and kindness. It's appropriate for younger children but the time-travel element appeals to older children as well; adults are amused by the nod to the kind of actual practical problems that would appear if someone did succeed in inventing time travel. The voice actors are excellent, especially Martin Freeman in the lead role, and the songs upbeat and fun. Ignore reviewers who think that every animated movie ought to be made in Pixar fashion, and just enjoy yourself. If your family liked Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer (at least before they'd seen it too many times), they'll love Saving Santa.
User ReviewMeredith RGreat children's story, surprisingly fun and lighthearted. Martin Freeman does a wonderful job, and the songs will make their way inside your head for the whole holiday season.
User ReviewGary SI really want to see this movie its amazing and ino that cause I watched the trailler
User ReviewLilianetty lHonestly one of the Best christmas movie idea evar (yes, you would say time travel idea is not new, but in this concept it is at least for me). The animation is really good also (saw the behind the scenes of the story board to VFX or CG and was wonderful). The score was bloody brillant! And the voice overs wowed me. I must admit Martin has evolve as a singer from Confetti film to this (I know his family has musicians and singer, no doubt he has that on his vains). Tisdale has evolve quite too, but still not my fave singer, not even on that High School Musical (how I even watch that?). Anyway, enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving! - Nov. 27, 2013
